Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the DoorTick web and mobile applications (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. The Service is owned and operated by MAS Tech Ventures LLC, a California limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

DoorTick provides a platform for landlords and real estate investors to track property cash flow, log income and expenses, upload financial statements or receipts, and generate reports formatted for IRS Schedule E tax filings.

3. No Financial or Legal Advice

The Service is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. MAS Tech Ventures LLC is not a certified public accounting firm, tax advisor, or legal firm. The generation of Schedule E reports or expense categorizations (such as mortgage interest or property tax splits) does not constitute professional tax advice. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of your tax filings and consulting with a qualified CPA or tax professional.

4. User Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. User Data and Content

You retain full ownership of the data, receipts, and property information you upload to DoorTick ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a secure, non-exclusive license to process and store this data solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, algorithms, designs, text, and graphics included in the Service, including the DoorTick brand and logo, are the exclusive intellectual property of MAS Tech Ventures LLC.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, MAS Tech Ventures LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any financial reports generated by the Service.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Contact Information

If you have questions regarding these Terms, please contact us at om@doortick.com.

10. Fair Use Policy for "Unlimited" Features

DoorTick provides "unlimited" AI receipt scanning and document processing intended for normal, manual usage by individual landlords and property managers managing their own real estate portfolios. To ensure the performance, affordability, and stability of the Service for all users, this unlimited allocation is subject to a Fair Use Policy.

"Fair Use" strictly prohibits the use of automated scripts, bots, API scrapers, or continuous bulk-uploading tools to process documents. It also prohibits utilizing DoorTick as an outsourced data-entry service for third-party entities. If your account's API processing volume drastically exceeds the reasonable behavior of a standard real estate investor and threatens the stability or cost structure of our infrastructure, MAS Tech Ventures LLC reserves the right to temporarily throttle your account's processing speed, restrict your upload volume, or suspend access to AI features. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email prior to applying any account restrictions.
